Been A While

It's been a while. I haven't had much time but who's complaining right. I have to get up early tomorrow and go to the post office I've got three pick up notices in my box that's been there for a week. Bought me a blackberry off eBay. Took four hours on with tech service. Two hours with at&t and another two with blackberry just to figure it out myself. then going into the living room dropped it and broke it. I went to at&t and bought me a new blackberry. Perhaps I should have done that in the beginning.
So while I was trying to get the at&t thing going on the towers where down and 30 some people came in frantic about no cell service. One guy went completely ignorant demanding the sales people fix the service now. The manager that took care of the incident should be commended for putting up with such ignorance.
When I finally got done and was on my way home I called my wife to find out my seventeen month old had gotten stuck in a plastic rocking chair where the back meets the seat and had to have someone come over and help get her unstuck. She had to give her a bath after the incident because they oiled the poor thing up to get her out.
Oh I forgot just before I left my three year old fell and cut her chin. I had to get the band aids out and take care of that. Although I had a little better day than my wife neither of us or the girls had a very good day. But we survived AIN'T God GOOD!
Tomorrow I will be going to a Boy Scout meeting for one of our scouts Eagle scout ceremony. I get to make a speech. I went to one just after I took the pastors position, these are very impressive. It is a true honor to be a part of.
Of coarse Sunday we have normal morning services then I get to go to the mother-in-laws for a birthday party. Can you hear the excitement in my voice. At least there will be good food. Then we have to go to a sister church for the fifth Sunday sing. A busy day for sure.
Well I've probably board you enough I'll let you go back to your surfing. I pray you always realize The rock is always between you and the hot place. That is as long as you are standing on the rock. God Bless.

Sunday School Picnic

Well we survived our annual state Sunday School Picnic. If there was any complaining I didn't hear it. We had some good eating and really good fellowship. I got volunteered to cut the onions for the hot dogs. I have never cut so much onions in my life. My house and my van smell like onions. Now understand the van probably smells better lol.
We had some good singing although that opinion may be a little biased because it was my wife. The preaching I can't say I wasn't paying that close attention to what i was saying. Lol. Just joking I hope I did OK. No one complained to me. My wife sold a book and bought a quilted purse.
After we went to Lowe's and bought some lights for the new room we built on the house. Then we went to Kroger's got a few things we need. Then we picked the kids up at there granny's. Boy she would kill me if she knew I called her that.
All that I can say it has been a good day. I have to go to work tomorrow but that is a good thing! Some don't have jobs. I have a good job that pays well. I believe the Lord has led me to this place at this time for a reason. I hope I can do the job he is preparing me for.

Saterday came and Gone!

Wow Saturday sure did fly by. I'm not sure what all i got done but I guaranty it was nothing i needed to. Ah well! I did get allot done any way.
We went to Kmart 3 times, Yes I said 3 times. We went and bought Shannon's mom a flower decided to give it to someone else went back and got two more went to eat then remembered we needed a new trash can for the bathroom.
I got a new piece of furniture for my office. It took about an hour to put it together. It is actually a Minny dresser and I filled it up in about 2 minutes. Well I guess that is what I bought it for. It gave me allot of room to store things that I need out of the way.
Well i get to spend tomorrow seeing mothers hers and mine. I don't know if I can survive this ordeal or not. Pray for me!!! We have to go to church, head straight to her mother then to mine a busy day for sure. I'll have to go to work to get a brake. lol.
Well I ain't got to much other to complain about all in all not to bad a day. I just praise God for every day busy or not.

Boy Oh Boy

Well it is Thursday and we have had nothing but rain! We canceled church last night due to possible flooding. It was probably a good thing I hadn't had time to get ready a lesson because i am getting certified for my new position. Try getting a sermon or Bible lesson together and study for your test for a new job. I guess even in all that I can find humor. While taking a web based test at home my three year old kept asking me if I was winning? I guess the Lord was telling me to lighten up.
Well tomorrow is Friday and I am glad it has been a long week. With all this training, tests and every thing else life throes at us a weekend looks good! Well my wife said my last post was short, I am not sure that I can type that much and if it wasn't for spellcheck you wouldn't want to read my typing anyway.
Well we are getting ready for our church district Sunday school picnic. I wounder how many complaints we'll get this year? Every meeting I mad it to there where at the most four churches represented. I have to preach in the morning service. I know every year we have a good time. We sing and praise the Lord and always have some good food.
I am cooking dinner as I am typing this listening to my 18 month old cry ready for her nap. While the 3 year old bids for my attention by coughing. I am siting here thinking why am I doing this while I'm cooking? For those who know me know i don't have any sense anyway................. Well I'm done eating now. Not a bad cook if i do say so myself.
Well I am done I have to take some more tests. Pray for me!

Rambling On

You know I just thought I would use this to ramble on. As a minister we sometimes think we are not being listened to so I decided to use this at least I would have proof I Said something. As we start our ministries we are excited that we get to do something for the Lord with the Idea we will be listened to. Boy do we get a surprise! Now understand I am not complaining! It is just a fact.
Well we get our first pastors position and we begin all the duties with an excitement for getting things done. Then we realize no one has the same excitement. We come to realize that it isn't just that church but most of them. We have been doing the same routine for so long that we no longer see the rut we have dug so deep that it has almost became a grave.
I have come to realize that some of that is the ministers fault, some those sitting in the pew. We need to quite trying to find someone to blame and begin to fix the mess we have allowed to happen. I hope you get mad when you read this and realize it is time to get started before the Lord returns and finds you have buried your talon.
So I've taken to much of your time today but I will try to tell the stories of my every day life while I will change the names to keep the not so Innocent, Innocent. See you soon
